MP Mega is a gearless high-capacity lift for 26-86 persons and 2000-6500 kg. It is available with or without a machine room.

MP Mega car sizes
The largest car in the table has external dimensions of 2600 × 4300 mm. The drawing shows four cars at the same scale, with the smallest for comparison.
The drawing shows a top view; car sizes are external, from the manufacturer’s table. The smallest car is a standard 630 kg MP GO.

MR = machine room. Pit and headroom are given for 1.0 m/s; these are the manufacturer’s typical values, and car sizes are external dimensions. For your project we will confirm the figures from the drawing.
MP Mega with and without a machine room
The machine room affects the shaft dimensions and, for loads up to 2500 kg, the car shape as well.

Where high-capacity lifts operate
According to the manufacturer, MP GO! Mega, MP H and MP GO! Evolution lifts operate in IKEA stores in several countries. Cars for shoppers with trolleys and cars for goods are finished differently.
Lifts for loads over 6500 kg
The MP Mega table ends at 6500 kg, but MP also builds heavier lifts to custom designs.
For the international ITER fusion project in Cadarache, MP built five highly complex lifts, including a gearless goods lift rated at 12,000 kg. They are designed for category 3 earthquakes, magnetic fields and radiation.
If the car you need is not in the table, we will send the manufacturer a request for a custom design as soon as we know the dimensions of your building.
Questions about MP Mega
How many stops does MP Mega have?
According to the manufacturer’s website, MP Mega has up to 32 stops, while the 2019 catalogue states 16 stops and 50 m of travel. We confirm the exact number for each specific project.
Is it a goods lift or a passenger lift?
The manufacturer’s table gives MP Mega capacity in persons, from 26 to 86. If the car will mainly carry goods, it is worth also considering dedicated goods lifts for 1500-6500 kg, which have different doors and loading methods.
How does rescue work during a power failure?
MP Mega uses a different rescue arrangement from MP GO. We specify the arrangement for your configuration in the proposal.
