Lift replacement in an existing shaft
We selected this car for a shaft built decades ago for a different lift, with a machine room above it. The shaft walls are usually not altered, so we check the dimensions first and only then discuss finishes.
The drive is gearless, with a machine room; this is the MP GO Room model. According to the manufacturer’s table, a six-person car needs a 1550 × 1500 mm shaft, a 1050 mm pit and 3400 mm headroom at 1 m/s. If your shaft is smaller or the pit is shallow, we consider MP Flex. Its machine is mounted on the rear or side wall, and under EN 81-21 the standard series need a pit of only 312 mm or more.
Materials of this car
- Beige steel and bumper railThis is the Viliter series, powder-coated steel in Nature beige, which avoids unnecessary glare in a small car. The steel bumper rail protects the walls when residents move furniture, and the mirror here is small.
- L95 panelA square 600 × 600 mm light panel in the middle of the white ceiling. This light is sufficient for a small car.
- R30 rubberAntibacterial covering, 3 mm thick, anthracite colour. Marks are less visible on a dark surface, and when the covering wears out, only the covering needs replacing.
What will change for residents after the replacement
A new car in the same shaft is rarely noticeably larger than the old one, but everyday use of the lift becomes more convenient. MP gearless lifts have built-in millimetre-accurate levelling, so the car stops flush with the floor and pushchair wheels do not catch on the sill. The doors and buttons will also be new, and we prepare the voice announcements and display texts in Ukrainian ourselves for each lift.
