Why tint the glass in a panoramic car
In a clear car, the passenger can be seen from the whole lobby. In a shopping centre this is no problem, but in a clinic or a small hotel people usually find it uncomfortable. With tinting, the car feels just as spacious, and the passenger’s silhouette is less distinct from outside.
We combined the cool grey tint with X25 gold-coloured frames, a matching car operating panel and an anodised gold-coloured sill, so that the car does not look gloomy. The K04 ceiling has four L40 lights with gold-coloured rims, and the floor is G01 Negro ochavo granite. There are almost no light-coloured surfaces in the car, so the glass is what catches the eye most.
How we choose the tint
The colour on screen is approximate; the final tint is chosen from a sample.
- We check what is behind the glass in daylightA dark wall or a window onto a courtyard noticeably changes how the tint looks.
- We take evening lighting into accountWhen the car is lit and its surroundings are dark, more can be seen through tinted glass from outside.
- We choose the colourThe main options are bronze and grey smoked glass. You can also name another colour, and we will confirm separately whether it can be made.
- We order a sampleWe confirm the tint with a sample before production.
Grey tint for a drama theatre, and bronze glass
The same grey tint will be used in the drama theatre in Ivano-Frankivsk. There the frames are satin, because in a foyer with stone and parquet a gold colour would be too much. If you need a warmer tint, there is bronze glass, which we also confirm with a sample before production. In the configurator these options can be compared; changing the colour takes one click.
The manufacturer prices tinting of the car and door glass separately, so it appears as a separate line in the quotation. The glass shaft can be clear, smoked or frosted, independently of the car.
Frequently asked questions about tinted glass
Can people be seen through tinted glass?
A silhouette is visible, especially in the evening when the car is lit from inside. Tinting does not give complete privacy. For that, there is frosted shaft glass or a solid wall.
Can only the doors or only the car be tinted?
Tinting is chosen separately for the car glass and the door glass. We check the combination with samples so that the tints do not clash.
